Whale are huge animals. They live in the sea and eat small fish and other sea life. One intere sting fact is whales can jump high out of water. Some kinds of whales are in danger because humans catch them formeat,fat,and oil,and use whale parts to make candles and soap. Whales are also in danger from water pollution. We should protect whales by making rules on whale protection and by not putting rubbish into the sea. I think people should learn more about whales

1、How was your weekend? 你的星期六和星期天过得怎样？
“How＋大多数情况下疑问句”用来询问“某物或某事怎么样？” 因为这里询问的是过去了的事, 故此，动词be用的是过去式。
如： How is your sister/study? 你的妹妹/学习怎么样？—— It was great/OK/not very good… 2、What about your friend, Carol? 你的朋友Carol怎么样呢(干了些什么呢)? “What about „? 怎么样?”这个句型用来询问消息、提供建议或征询意见的，也可用“How about„?”。因为about是介词，其后只可以接名词。假设是动词,动词要加上-ing。 如. -What about this film? -It's interesting. 这部影片如何？很有趣。-How about playing football? -Good idea! 去踢足球如何？好主意！
3、注意:带有be动词的过去时的句子,一定要看清主语再正确答案应选择用was还是were.
am(is) →was are→were
比如：我今年12岁。 我去年11岁。
I am twelve years old this year. I _was eleven years old last year. 他们今天在中国。他们上一天在日本。
They are in China today. They were in Japan yesterday. 4、What did you do last weekend? 你在星期六和星期天做了些什么？
这是what引导的特殊疑问句。因为是询问出现在过去的事情，故此，用大多数情况下过去时态。句中的did是助动词do的过去时, 没有实质上意义。do是实义动词, 是“做”、“干”的意思。 5、行为动词的大多数情况下过去时:
陈述句: 主语+动词过去式+其它 I go to the movie. →I went to the movie.
否定句: 主语+助动词didn’t+动词原形+其它 I don’t go to school today. →I didn’t go to school. 大多数情况下疑问句: Did +主语+动词原形+其它Do you have breakfast?→Did you have breakfast? 6、规则动词过去时的变化规则
（1）大多数情况下情况在动词原形后加-ed want-wanted （2） 以字母e 结尾的动词，只加-d move-moved
（3）以“ 辅音字母+y ”结尾的动词，把y 改成i,再加-edcarry-carried
（4） 以重读闭音节结尾，末尾唯有一个辅音字母，先双写该辅音字母，+-ed stop-stopped 7、动词不规则变化
am, is—was are—were go—went do—did have—hadcome—came take—took say—said eat—ate see—saw get—got put—put sleep—slept give—gavewrite—wroteread—read
